RFID asset tags has been in rising demand for years, but for three key reasons2010 has increased explosion:

3) the settlement of an international standard for UHF passive tags.

Cost has always been a curbing issue, but a Korean firm has promised that by the end of 2011 it will sell each passive RFID tags for only three US cents.

The newest industries that use the passive RFID tags are monetary services for IT asset tracking and health care.In 2010 more than 60% of the best medical device firms are using passive UHF RFID.

The way forward is to begin with the goods-in bay. Goods arrive with shipping labels, but with insufficient quality and information.
